General Collecting Principles

The collecting guidelines in the Collection & Resources Development Policy are grouped into the eight collections to which they apply. However there are a number of guidelines that cannot be grouped under these eight collections because they apply across two or more of the collections simultaneously. These guidelines are grouped in Interdisciplinary policies.

Similarly, there are a number of policies that underpin the collecting guidelines throughout the Collection & Resources Development Policy. These can be found in Overview policies.

Interdisciplinary Policies

Includes guidelines relating to digital resources, geographic areas, non-English language materials and popular culture.

Overview Policies

Description of policies which underpin the collecting guidelines throughout the Collection & Resources Development Policy.
