Victorian Public Library Network

Over seven months from November 2003 to May 2004, representatives of Victoria's public libraries, the Municipal Association of Victoria, the Library Board of Victoria and the State Library of Victoria met to create a stronger relationship in order to deliver better services to Victorians.

The document Framework for Collaborative Action, developed during that time, clarified how these groups would work together to advance common aims. It marked the beginning of a new phase in the relationship between Victoria's 43 public library services, the Library Board of Victoria and the State Library of Victoria.

The framework was revised between December 2005 and April 2006. It reflects a stronger relationship between the Library Board, the State Library and public libraries.
