State Library of Victoria Foundation Membership
Whether you're an individual or the representative of an organisation, you can support the work of the Library by becoming a member of the State Library of Victoria Foundation. The benefits of membership are listed below, and the membership form is located at the bottom of the page.
General membership
Foundation membership is an enjoyable way to engage in the cultural life of the Library. For only $75 (inc. GST), you can participate in exclusive member-only events and mix with others who value the work of the Library. Membership benefits include:
- mailed copies of the Library’s magazine, State Library of Victoria News, the biannual scholarly publication The La Trobe Journal and periodic member newsletters
- discounts on all State Library events and selected Library merchandise (conditions apply)
- invitations to member-only events
- access to the Foundation Members' Lounge
- discounts on quality wine through the Ex Libris Wine Club
- a $25 Reader’s Feast Bookshop book voucher (for new members).

Bookplate donors
This special offer to members is available to those who make a tax-deductible donation (see membership form for details). All bookplate donors are acknowledged on bookplates placed in books specially selected from the Library’s recent acquisitions.
There are three bookplate donorship levels, named for renowned bird illustrators whose valuable works are held in the State Library:
- John William Lewin (1770–1819) - $175
- John James Audubon (1785–51) - $500
- John Gould (1804–81) - $1000.
