Finding information

Most people use two different but complementary methods to find information - browsing and searching. In this section we describe some ways in which you can browse and search when undertaking your information seeking at the Library. If you need assistance at any point, you can get help from a librarian. If you are online, you can access our Online Inquiry form from any page on our website. If you are onsite, ask at any information desk.

Browsing

Browsing is a useful way to find general information on a topic, or to locate some resources to provide a starting point for your research.

Searching

If you know the author, title or other specific information about an item you are looking for, searching our catalogue or information databases is an efficient way to find it.
