Marketing Services Manager

About Us

The State Library of Victoria is the state's premier reference and research library, the hub of a statewide information and communications network, and a gateway to the world's information.

About the Role

We seek an experienced Marketer to join our communications team. Key functions of the role include:

  • Devising and implementing cost-effective marketing plans for the promotion of a wide  range of Library collections, services, exhibitions and programs, both onsite and online
  • Ensuring marketing plans are aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives
  • Maximising opportunities offered by new media channels
  • Consulting with communications colleagues in public affairs, web and publications to prepare coordinated marketing schedules
  • Building community engagement and brand awareness
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on marketing activities


Applicants must have tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications, and have experience in marketing in both online and print environments. Excellent communications skills are essential together with an understanding of Web 2.0 concepts and social media.
