Begins: 30 November 2007 Ends: 2 March 2008

Friday 30 November 2007 to Sunday 2 March 2008
Wish You Were Here! is being run in association with the Library's temporary exhibition Victorians on Vacation. The exhibition celebrates holidays and leisure in Victoria since the 19th century - from sea-bathing in St Kilda to bush-camping and caravanning.
You're invited to submit photos of holidays in Victoria - anything from a recent weekend away captured on your mobile phone, to a polaroid taken in the 70s or a faded Box Brownie print from an old album.
All entries are checked before being published to make sure they meet the competition rules. Once approved, they are available to view on the Wish You Were Here! website.
And did we mention there are great prizes on offer for contributors?
There are two sections - one for adults and one for kids.
Take a digital photo of yourself or family or friends on holiday in Victoria - if you don't have a digital camera, simply scan the printed image and upload to the competition website as a jpg. Or dig through your photo albums and scan your best holiday snaps and submit them.
When you're ready to submit your entry, simply go to the Submit Your Entry page and upload your photo as a jpeg file. You will need to provide some basic information:
If you want to, you can also add:
Don't forget to check out the Rules before you enter.
Two digital cameras worth approximately A$400 RRP are up for grabs - these major prizes will go to the first-prize winner in the Adult and Kids sections. The second-prize winner in each section will get their winning photo printed, mounted and framed.
Winners will be notified by email, and a list of nicknames and their winning photos will be published on the Wish You Were Here! website on Monday 17 March 2008.
