Extensive collection of online reference books, encyclopaedias and dictionaries covering the arts, business and management, humanities and social sciences.
Electronic Book Library (EBL)
A collection of Australian non-fiction ebooks you can read online, or download and read offline for seven days. Subjects include travel, cooking, sport and more. You need to be a registered Victorian Library user to access the EBL, and you'll need to log in with your card details even if you're at the Library. Encyclopaedia Britannica Online
This edition includes access to the full text of this well-known encyclopaedia, as well as magazine and journal articles, websites and multimedia.

Gale Virtual Reference Library
Full-text articles from encyclopedias and specialised reference sources covering a variety of subject areas.
Macquarie Dictionary Online
English as it is used in Australia, from the colloquial to the technical. Updated with new words as they enter the language. Includes etymologies for some phrases and regionalisms from around Australia, along with a thesaurus.
Oxford English Dictionary
A range of Oxford dictionaries: Australian, American, New Zealand, thesauri and the second edition of the Oxford English Dictionary.
Oxford Reference Online Premium
Extensive collection of online reference books, encyclopaedias and dictionaries covering a vast range of subjects. Includes selected titles from Oxford Digital Reference Shelf, Oxford Reference Literature and Western Civilisation collections.

This eresource contains scholarly articles, Qur'anic materials, primary sources, images, maps, and timelines. It is designed to provide a first stop for anyone needing information and context on Islam. The trial will end on 2 July 2012.
