Accessing audio

Need help listening to or downloading our audio or video content?

Listening online

You don't need any special software to listen to our audio on your computer, and you don't need to download any files. Simply click on the 'Play' button of the media player on each individual audio or video page to start listening. The 'Rewind' and 'Fast Forward' buttons will take you to the start and finish of the audio/video. You can adjust the volume within our player or from your computer's volume control.

For PCs

Where you see either a 'Listen to...' link or 'Download...' link, right-click on the link and Save File As/Save Target As (PC).

For Macs

Where you see either a 'Listen to...' link or 'Download...' link, control-click on the link and Save File As (Mac).

You can choose to save the file to your computer, from where you can transfer it to another device, or directly to a portable media player.

To download from public workstations within the Library

Where you see either a 'Listen to...' link or 'Download...' link, left-click on any audio link. This will open and play the file in Windows Media Player.

Choose File > Save Media As from within Windows Media Player. This will give you the option to download the file to a portable media device.
