Nicholas Gruen on government 2.0

Dr Nicholas Gruen refers to new media as a truly transformational phenomenon and discusses the exciting possibilities for using Web 2.0 in government.

Nicholas is CEO of Lateral Economics and one of the key thinkers on regulation and technology in Australia. He is chair of the Government 2.0 Taskforce, an independent taskforce launched in June 2009 to investigate how the federal government can use Web 2.0 approaches to improve how it informs, consults and engages with citizens.

This recording begins with an introduction to the New Media in Government seminar by Penny Hutchinson, the acting deputy secretary for the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

You can also view the slide presentation that accompanied this talk.

New Media in Government was held at the State Library of Victoria on 17 November 2009.
