Patricia Grimshaw on women & family history

Professor Patricia Grimshaw presents an engaging discussion on the value of studying women's lives in family history research in the Don Grant Lecture 2009.

Acknowledging that women are often hidden figures in history books, Patricia examines women not only as members of their families but as working mothers that are part of society, and considers what this research can reveal for genealogists.

Patricia Grimshaw is a professorial research fellow in the School of Historical Studies at the University of Melbourne.

This lecture was part of the 2009 Family History Feast.
