Antoine + Manuel on White Night 2015

  • Date recorded: 21 Feb 2015

  • Duration: 09:11

'This artwork could not be done anywhere else. Every little bit of light, every colour and every composition is completely composed by the space...It's only made for this place, and only for one night.'

– Antoine + Manuel

About this video

In this interview with curator Anaïs Lellouche, French graphic design artists Antoine + Manuel introduce their projection Eat me, specially designed for White Night 2015 and the Library's La Trobe Reading Room.

Taking their inspiration from the Reading Room's architectural details, and using the dome's monumental space as their canvas, the French duo created brilliantly choreographed projections for this special one-off artwork, appearing for one night only and designed for one space only.

Hear about their experiences working with Melbourne musician Sui Zhen, who provided the soundtrack, then let the atmospheric effects and ethereal pop electronica of Eat me wash over you.
