Redmond Barry Lecture

Given by leading cultural figures, the annual Redmond Barry Lecture covers ideas and issues relevant to the prevailing and emerging cultural climate.

Sir Redmond Barry was instrumental in founding the Library and served as president and chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1856 until his death in 1880. In recognition of this, the Redmond Barry Lecture is a central part of the Library's Foundation Day celebrations.
