Tom Petsinis on how Fitzroy shaped a novel

Hear how award-winning writer and past creative fellow Tom Petsinis produced the first draft of a novel that recalls 1960s working-class Fitzroy.

The main character, just diagnosed with terminal cancer, finds himself drawn to his former family home in Fitzroy and begins a journey of memory and rediscovery.

Tom also discusses his research which included reading fiction, such as Shadowboxing, and non-fiction such as Forever Fitzroy: a history of the Brunswick Street oval and Fitzroy: Melbourne's first suburb.

This talk is part of the Collection Reflections series.
