Victorian historical publications digitisation project

Over its history, the Library has collected a wide range of journals, magazines and publications that document the life of the Victorian community. Since  2010, a number of historic collections held by the Library or its partners have been scanned at high resolution and released online.

The Victorian historic publications digitisation project is funded by the Department of Premier and Cabinet to provide online access to unique and important publications from the state’s history, in celebration of the 175th anniversary of European settlement in Victoria.

This State Government funding has allowed the Library and key community partners to digitise and make available:

This is a collaborative project with Slattery Media and the AFL, the Royal Society of Victoria and the Royal Historical Society of Victoria.

The project is carried out in conjunction with the Australian War Memorial.
