Current and past recipients of the Redmond Barry Fellowship have researched a wide range of topics including Melbourne's literary magazines, the artist Giovanni Battista Piranesi, wildfire and Melbourne as a city.
Current recipient
The 2011 recipient of the Redmond Barry Fellowship is Jim Davidson. Jim will research literary magazine culture in Melbourne between 1940 and 1988, and produce a book manuscript, Bigger than little.
Jim's project focuses on the publications Meanjin and Overland, and the contrasting editorships of Clem Christesen and Stephen Murray-Smith.
