Acclaimed Australian author Thomas Keneally and Ari Roth, Artistic Director of Washington DC’s Theatre J, discuss Keneally’s new play, Either Or, which premiered at Theatre J in May 2007, with Professor Mark Baker.
Described as 'provocative, riveting and chilling', the play reveals the tragic nature of a man's moral awakening. It is based on the life of Kurt Gerstein, a Christian youth leader and SS officer who dared to alert the West to what was transpiring under Nazi occupation.

Thomas Keneally AO is an award-winning Australian writer, author of over 30 books, including the classic The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith. He has received the Miles Franklin Award twice, and won the Booker Prize for his 1982 book Schindler's Ark. Ari Roth is Artistic Director of Washington DC’s Theatre J. Mark Baker is Associate Professor, Program in Holocasut and Genocide Studies at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation.
