Programs for Seniors

The Library offers a range of learning activities for older learners, covering the Library's collections, new technology and more. Information about bookings, costs and times are available in What's On.

Movie-making Mondays

7 July, 10am-3pm (with half-hour lunch break)

Join one of our exciting monthly workshops to learn new skills and star in your own mini-movie! Bring in your own photos and other special objects, and tell your story on film. Take it home on DVD to share with your family and friends.

Digital storytelling

Mon 4 August, 1 September, 6 October, 10am-3pm; Tues 7 & Wed 8 October, 10am-4pm (includes half-hour lunch break)

Capture your memories on film to share with your family and friends! No technical skills are required for this fun, free workshop - simply bring along some photos and other special objects, and take your story home on DVD.

Blogging for seniors

Fri 10 October, 10.30-11.30am; Wed 17 December, 11am-12noon

It’s never too late to discover new technology! Learn how you can communicate online through a blog (web log), an online journal on any topic. It’s a great way to share your interests and experiences with others.
