Blog Rules

The State Library has created this blog to bring together all those people who love books, writing and reading.

We welcome all contributions, whether they be a passing thought, a detailed response to a post, or a comment on someone else’s comment.

All we ask is that you stick to a few simple rules if you want your comments to appear on the blog:

  • 1. Don’t use abusive, obscene, vulgar, defamatory, hateful, threatening or sexually-explicit language.
  • 2. Don’t use language that is culturally insensitive, offensive to others on racial, ethnic, religious or other grounds, or is not suitable for children.
  • 3. Ensure your comments are constructive, polite, and not made with disruptive intent.
  • 4. Don’t use this blog to distribute advertising or promotional materials, spam, chain letters or similar.
  • 5. Don’t provide personal information about yourself or anyone else, such as telephone numbers, home address, age, etc.

Your comments will be reviewed by the State Library of Victoria blog moderator before they are published.

If you don’t follow the rules outlined above, your contribution will not be approved.
