Schools Periodical Service

A fast and efficient document delivery service for school librarians and teachers, Schools Periodical Service provides copies of articles from periodicals in the State Library’s extensive collections.

What is available?

Documents specifically selected for Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) students are available through the Schools Periodicals Service. Periodical articles have been selected and evaluated by qualified and experienced teachers in the Library's School Services section for relevance and usefulness.

Who can use the Service?

Members of the Victorian educational community including teachers and librarians may register as members of the Schools Periodical Service.  Registration enables users to view, select and order documents.

How does it work?

Selected periodical and journal articles are indexed in this database and users can search by author, date, title, VCE subject, etc.  Orders for specific titles within the database can be placed online and paid for by credit card. The State Library of Victoria will then copy the required articles and post them.
