Let your imagination run wild in our interactive storytelling events, workshops and craft sessions as we step into the rip-roaring adventure of Wylah: the Koorie Warrior.
Join creators and co-authors Richard Pritchard and Jordan Gould as they walk you through writing your own legendary myth, creating your own storybook character and building your own megabeast.

Storytelling with Jordan Gould and Richard Pritchard

Step into a world of warrior heroes, dragon armies and ancient megafauna with Wylah the Koorie Warrior – a heart-stopping adventure series 40,000 years in the making.
Creators Richard Pritchard and Jordan Gould will guide you through the craft of mythical storytelling, then you’ll write or draw your own legendary tale!

Bring your favourite book from the award-winning adventure series to have signed.

Mega Book Beast Workshop

In this interactive session, creators of the best-selling book series Wylah the Koorie Warrior will walk you through the craft of creating your own storybook character.
You’ll create your own Mega Book Beast trading card and design an original character to add to Wylah’s epic adventure world.
Join us on 24 September, 1 October and 6 December 2025 (multiple session times).
Build Your Own Megabeast

Calling all curious and crafty kids! Create your own megabeast with Wylah the Koorie Warrior’s co-author and illustrator Richard Pritchard. Using creature templates, you’ll design and build your own fantastical beast with its own name and superpower.
Sessions run 3-5pm daily between 20 September to 5 October (daily), on weekends between 11 October to 6 December (Saturdays and Sundays) and on 4 November 2025.
Create Your Own Book Workshop

Calling all apprentice book makers: the Library is in need of new story books and we need your help to create them.
Suitable for 5-8 year olds.
Join us on 23 or 30 September 2025 (multiple session times).
VCES School Holiday Workshop: LEGO® Robotics

Work as a team to create and code your very own LEGO® brick robot in these interactive workshops. After the build comes the all-important testing – will your robot hold up?
Perfect for kids aged 5 to 8 years old.
Join us on 22 September, 25 September, 29 September, 2 October 2025 (multiple session times).
Storytime

Our Storytime sessions showcase classic stories and new works from much loved authors – along with your favourite songs and rhymes for children aged 3 to 5 years old.
Storytime runs every Wednesday at 10:30am (except during school holidays and on public holidays).
Toddler Tales

Come along and make some noise as we explore language and literacy through stories, rhymes, and songs for children aged 18 months to 3 years.
Toddler Tales runs every Monday at 10.30am (except during school holidays and on public holidays).
Baby Bounce

Perfect for children aged 18 months and younger, join us for a fun, interactive session of stories, songs and rhymes.
Baby Bounce runs every Monday and Wednesday from 11.30am-12.00pm (except during school holidays and on public holidays).
