[Postcard announcing declaration of war, 1914, Great Britain]

Shows crossed flags depicting the Union Jack and the royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom. Printed above: Britain declared war against Germany / Wednesday, August 5, 1914. Beneath flags: God save the King. Also shows a thistle with message: Should Auld Acquaintance be Forgot. At base of card the words to Rule Britannia.
