Celebrating State Library Victoria’s incredible volunteers

It’s the passion and dedication from our team of volunteers and greeters that makes the Library a special place. 

Many of our volunteers are international students who were especially affected by the lockdown in 2020. Recognising the challenges that some of our volunteers were facing, Susan McLaine, Coordinator for the volunteer greeters, implemented a system that paired up volunteers for emotional and practical support.
