Join us at the Library for our new exhibition, Handmade Universe: From craft to code and the spaces between which explores how we connect with universal themes of place and identity through the act of making by hand. New commissions by artists, designers and makers combine craft and technology in often unexpected ways, alongside 68 rare and remarkable items from State Library Victoria and other collections.
From knitted starmaps to striking cyanotype photographs, the tour provides an overview of the exhibition, and explains the work of Mandy Nicholson, Sarah Spencer, Deanna Hitti, Donna Kendrigan and Sans façon.
Please note: these 30-45 minute tours are hosted by our friendly and passionate volunteers and run every Tuesday at 10.15am and Sunday at 1.30pm.
