See Like Me

This project has been developed in response to the lack of children’s books and stories in Australian bookshops and library bookshelves that portray a positive and playful image of vision-impaired child characters. For this project, Vision Australia will work with amilies and children with blindness and low vision and children's publisher Berbay Publishing to create a story of inspiration and authenticity. The book will grow the collection of Australian accessible titles, promote braille as an important literacy tool for kids, and ultimately engender a greater sense of inclusivity for children with vision impairment.
